About this school
At Keaukaha Elementary, every classroom is equipped for computer and internet use. The school has three portable lab carts on campus for student research and assessment.
The school values partnerships with parents and the community. The School Community Council, which includes administrators, staff and parents, meets monthly on school-related issues and helps shape the academic and financial direction of the school. A Parent Teacher Association and the nonprofit Keaukaha School Foundation provide ongoing support for school programs.
Keaukaha Elementary continues to maintain the school’s core reading program Reading Mastery, while an Integrated Novels Approach program exists for students in Grades 5 and 6. Keaukaha School strengthens its math offerings through math supplements, interventions and vocabulary. The school is constantly developing its science, social studies and writing curriculum.
Academic Plan & Financial Plan
Every school develops an Academic Plan as part of collaborative process with its School Community Council, staff and Complex Area. The three-year plan provides structure for a school's plans for improvement, achievement and innovation. The companion one-year financial plan outlines anticipated expenditures to realize the vision of the Academic Plan. Both are aligned to the state's
2017-2020 Strategic Plan.
