2030 Promise Plan
Help us plan for the next decade
The Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) is seeking feedback on the first draft of a 2030 Promise Plan, which will guide the Department for the next decade, centered around five promises to students. KOHALA HIGH DEDICATES NEW STEM FACILITY
The new state-of-the-art facility includes four single-story classroom buildings connected by a covered walkway with a new physical science lab, biochemistry lab, natural resources lab, two general classrooms and additional office space. STORY

CELEBRATING THE CLASS OF 2019 WITH WAKE UP 2DAY ON KHON
Every Tuesday morning, KHON celebrated the Class of 2019 by visiting different high schools and speaking with seniors about their academic achievements and future college and career paths. STORY
2019 NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
Shirley Li of Kalani High School and Cameron James Morgan of Moanalua High School were announced as this year's National Merit $2,500 Scholarship winners from among 15,000 national finalists. STORY

The HIDOE Communications Branch captured May Day celebrations and ho'ike from schools across the state. Thousands of K-12 students performed for parents, families and friends in the sun and rain. WATCH
