PARENTS URGED TO COMPLETE FEDERAL IMPACT AID SURVEY
The effort helps Hawaii schools be partially reimbursed for taxes that can't be collected from federal properies. Last year, Impact Aid reimbursements were more than $27 million. STORY

HEAT ABATEMENT PROGRAM UPDATE
HIDOE has purchased 145 portable ACs for the hottest classrooms, with more on order. Funded air conditioning projects are being expedited, and electrical upgrades at 35 schools are under way. LEARN MORE
