​The Assessment Section is responsible for the development and implementation of the Hawai'i State Assessment (HSA), the Hawaiian Language HSA, the Hawai'i State Alternate Assessment, the Hawai'i End-of-Course Exams, the National Assessment of Educational Progress, the Smarter Balanced Assessments, the ACCESS For ELLs Online assessment, and the ACT College and Career Readiness System of Assessments.

The Accountability Section is responsible for the Strive HI Performance System.
