The State of Hawaii is implementing a new payroll system called the Hawaii Information Portal (HIP). This system will provide online features to all employees and reduce manual paper processes by implementing a modern payroll application. The new online payroll application will have features that will allow you to access your payroll information at your convenience. The Hawaii Information Portal’s “Employee Self- Service” located at: http://hip.hawaii.gov will be your gateway to these new payroll features.

To help you transition to the new payroll system, additional information including Employee Self-Service guides and tools, can be found at: http://ags.hawaii.gov/hip/for-employees/.

If you need additional assistance, contact the HIDOE IT Help Desk at (808) 564-6000 or HATS (8-1-808-692-7250) on the neighbor islands. The IT Help Desk is open Monday through Friday, 7:45 am - 4:30 pm, excluding state holidays.

HawaiiPay Materials (updated April 9, 2020):

**Note: HIDOE employees are to enter their direct deposit enrollment themselves using a DOE-networked computer for increased financial security purposes. If an employee is unable to access the DOE network, the employee may fill out the paper D-59 form, submit a ServiceNow ticket with a copy (photo is OK), and send the original to DOE Payroll. Processing may take up to three pay periods upon receipt of the form.

The HawaiiPay project held webinars to provide HIDOE staff with updates. Click on the links below to review the session materials.
