From Supt. Christina M. Kishimoto: It should go without saying that bullying is not tolerated in an organization or in communities dedicated to educating healthy and joyful lifelong learners who contribute meaningfully to our communities. But to be explicitly clear: Bullying of any kind is not acceptable in Hawai‘i public schools. This piece ran on Sept. 19, 2018 in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

Honoka‘a High's heartfelt mahalo for the Thanksgiving kahiau
The students of the Leadership Training Program at Honoka‘a High School wrote this thank you letter to the community for helping them organize and fund a Thanksgiving outreach effort that included turkey dinners served at the school and delivered to folks in need in the community. It is one of several projects planned to practice kahiau: doing without expecting anything in return.
