Ahrens Elementary strives for excellence by aligning its programs to its vision and by supporting the state’s strategic plan.
The school offers Advancement Via Individual Determination and College for Every Students -- programs that promote a college-going culture. Students in grade 6 are provided opportunities to visit local colleges, fill out college applications and participate in career day.
Success for All is a school-wide reading program that incorporates cooperative learning strategies to help students in all grade levels achieve literacy. A Youth Leadership Academy addresses the needs of gifted and talented students. The school also offers robotics and physical education.
Extracurricular activities include music ensemble, volleyball and basketball.
