About this school
Hāna High & Elementary has partnered with Kamehameha School preschools to provide all Hāna 3 and 4 year old students a preschool education. Nonprofit organizations are located on the school campus and contribute greatly to educating students and involving them in community service activities.
The school redistributes instructional time within a five-day work week. This results in longer instructional times during four of the five days and also allows for extended learning opportunities after school and on Fridays. Also on Friday, nonprofit organizations provide enrichment activities in the arts, culture and building and construction community service projects, and the school sets aside time for teachers to meet and receive professional development.
