Lt. Col. Horace Meek Hickam Elementary enrolls students from many school systems throughout the nation and from schools for U.S. dependents established in foreign countries.

The school provides strong academic and cocurricular programs such as Student Council, music, physical education, gifted and talented program and computer technology. Extracurricular programs include art, ukulele, garden, and fitness clubs, as well as chorus, drama, basketball, track and volleyball.

Comprehensive Student Support Services provide an array of services, which include Primary School Adjustment Project, Friendship Group, a PACT (Problem-Solving, Awareness, Communication, Teamwork) Group, gifted and talented, speech and language services, and special education services for identified students.
