About this school
Ilima Intermediate offers a wide variety of programs and support services to address the needs early adolescents. Students are placed into one of three smaller learning teams during their seventh grade year.
Team teachers develop supports for students through coordinated professional development, regular team meetings and parent meetings. For the core academic areas of English, math, science and social studies, team teachers continue on with their students up to the eighth grade.
Ilima Intermediate continues to develop and refine a rigorous standards-based curriculum while implementing several schoolwide strategies. Teachers receive ongoing professional development and meet twice monthly in data teams to analyze student progress and adjust instructional practices. Ilima Intermediate is committed to ongoing school improvement and it embraces the challenging opportunity to prepare students for college and careers.
