About this school
Vision: We value, respect, and support each other in reaching our highest potential.
Mission: Prepare students for success by teaching standards-based lessons; creating a safe and nurturing environment; providing meaningful learning experiences; and ensuring opportunities for evaluation and assessment of progress. Provide opportunities to give parents tools to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of the students. Commit ourselves wholeheartedly to our vision; communicate that vision with integrity; follow up commitments relentlessly; and foster positive relationships within our school community.
Teachers instruct using standards-based-lessons, collect learning evidence and help students reflect on their progress. Grade level collaboration and K-5 articulation between teachers is ongoing. Staff continuously reflect on and make adjustments to instruction, with a focus on the betterment of student achievement and student efficacy.
The school's improvement plan is based on a review of annual testing data, regular weekly and monthly assessments, with input from the community and parents through the School Community Council and the accreditation process.
Afterschool and summer activities include tutoring, ukulele and robotics. The school's priorities are student achievement, civic responsibility and student safety and well-being.
