About this school
Kahala Elementary provides a foundation for continuous personal and academic growth. Teachers have high expectations and hold students accountable for their own learning.
Members of the School Community Council (teachers, student representatives, parents, the administrator, classified staff and community members) monitor the school’s academic and financial plan to ensure the needs of the students are met. Kahala Elementary has an enthusiastic and active parent teacher organization that supports efforts to provide an enriching curriculum and activities.
The school has two PC labs, a Mac lab in the library, as well as iPads, SmartBoards and classroom desktop computers in the classroom. Students may participate in band, art, and sports such as golf and karate and hula, to name a few. Kahala Elementary also provides reading assistance, services for English language learners, counseling for students in need and special education services, in addition to an enrichment program for children in grades 3–5 that focuses on sustainability.
