Kalanianaole Elementary & Intermediate promotes academic achievement by fostering a culture of shared ownership of education by students, staff, families and the community.

School staff meets regularly to focus classroom observation data to plan teacher support and professional development focused on raising teacher efficacy through effective instructional and assessment practices and strategies that directly impact student achievement.

The school has offered supplemental tutoring in a Non-school hours program and summer school program. Classes included technology, agriculture, hula and tutoring.
