Kamehameha III Elementary is focused on providing standards-based instruction aligned with the Common Core State Standards.

Staff meet weekly in professional learning communities and collaborate on common assessments to guide instruction. Teachers and school leaders analyze data to uncover and address student needs. In math, focus areas include constructed response techniques, Singapore Math strategies and multisensory math instruction.

Kamehameha III Elementary continues to offer the Good Beginnings transition program during the summer to provide a better academic foundation for incoming kindergarteners. The school also enjoys strong community support from parents and area businesses.
