Kapa'a Middle

About this school

At Kapa'a Middle, formative assessments drive instruction as teachers meet in professional learning communities weekly to address students’ learning needs.

Students have access to a comprehensive afterschool program called Holomua, which provides high-level tutoring, enrichment activities, food and provide transportation. School programs and initiatives are supported by the Parent Teacher Student Association and the School Community Council. These and other groups support parent involvement opportunities such as parent literacy workshops, English as a second language assistance, excursions, supplemental tutorial sessions after school and during intersessions, among others.

The school continues to increase its community and business partnerships that provide financial donations, educational presentations and tutorial personnel.
