About this school
Kapiolani Elementary's focus is to increase the use of technology in instruction through the use of computers, iPads and web-based programs to enhance student achievement.
Student academics are supported with special education classes, Title I and other programs, and a 21st Century Grant. Supplemental student activities include a reading competition, 6th grade robotics and school gardening. Children in grades 4-6 participate in intramural activities at recess.
The Malama I Na Keiki o Kapiolani program helps students with transition issues, academics in the classroom and homework support before and after school. Students also have access to school behavioral health therapist, speech pathologist and counseling. The Parent Teacher Association, Family Focus Team, and School Community Council organize activities and parent support workshops.
