Kapolei Elementary is committed to equal opportunity for all children in an environment in which staff, parents, students and the community share responsibility and collaborate to shape the school's direction.

The school focuses on data analysis to assess student progress and plan classroom and schoolwide initiatives. Students participate in a Character Counts education program to learn lessons on trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.

A number of professional development sessions are provided to educators to promote teaching effectiveness and high student achievement.​
