About this school
Kaumuali'i Elementary believes all children should have every opportunity to develop physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially.
Technology continues to be an integral part of the curriculum. Along with two labs housing 25-30 computers each, classrooms have at least five networked computers, a smartboard, projector, elmo and digital camera. Educators regularly monitor assessment data and analyze student work to adjust instruction, refine curriculum maps to align with the Common Core Standards and share best practices.
Afterschool tutoring is provided for students needing assistance in reading and math. A variety of extracurricular activities offer a balance between academic and enrichment programs.
The school has numerous community partnerships, and an engaged Parent Teacher Student Association. The School Community Council is actively involved in the creation, implementation and monitoring of the academic and financial plan.
