At Kea'au Elementary, professional learning communities provide general education and special education teachers regular opportunities to collaborate about how best to address student needs.

The school practices inclusion to ensure special education students have the best opportunities to be successful. The availability and use of technology for students, faculty and staff helps address the different learning styles of students, provide varied teaching and learning opportunities, and improve communication among faculty and staff.

The school offers activities and events to encourage parent, family and community involvement.
