About this school
Kealakehe High places a strong emphasis on citizenship and has identified three main values: building relationships, showing respect, and being responsible to self and the community.
The curriculum challenges students to practice universal ethical and moral values such as empathy, honesty, laulima (Hawaiian for working together) and kuleana (Hawaiian for acting responsibly).
Kealakehe High offers a broad range of core and elective courses, including career and technical education, the arts, music and foreign languages. In addition to foundational courses, honors and advanced placement courses are offered in English, social studies, math and science. Teams in football, swimming, soccer, wrestling, tennis and cheering have won multiple league titles.
The Parent Community Networking Center coordinator and members of the School Community Council actively assist the principal in the operation of the school.
