At Kealakehe Intermediate, the School Community Council, Parent Teacher Organization and other dedicated community groups are important partners to promote relationships and advance student achievement.
The school believes in teaming, interdisciplinary instruction, exploratory electives and advisory periods to help in the academic, physical, social and emotional development of students. Educators emphasize writing, inquiry, collaboration and reading.
Kealakehe Intermediate has implemented the Advancement Via Individual Determination program to help improve student comprehension of math and language arts. Technology is an essential focus, with every science class equipped with a mobile computer lab.
