About this school
Personalized differentiated instruction, constantly adjusted to meet each child’s needs, has been the single most important factor in Kilohana Elementary's success.
The Comprehensive Student Support System identifies struggling students early, allowing staff to work with students to improve performance. School-wide Title I services provide students with additional support in reading and math. Computer literacy instruction, whether in the classroom or in the tech-lab, continues to help students learn vital skills for an increasingly digital world and workplace.
Kilohana has provide extended learning opportunities such as targeted tutorials, horticulture, drawing and painting, arts and crafts, physical fitness, violin, and other enrichment activities after school and during the summer break. The school also values parent engagement. Kilohana Elementary's School Community Council and the Kilohana School Community Organization collaborate with staff to support student achievement and maximize educational opportunities and resources.
