About this school
The Department of Education opened Kūlanihākoʻi High School in Kīhei in August 2023 to serve South Maui families.
"Kūlanihākoʻi High School" was approved as the official name of the new campus on Aug. 18, 2022, by the Hawaiʻi State Board of Education (BOE) in accordance with
BOE policy.
Construction of the full campus continues in phases. Future phases will be dependent on the availability of funding.
