The school uses Data Teams to monitor student progress and ensure every child is making growth. Data guides interventions and adjustments to instructions to meet the needs of all students.

Makakilo Elementary enjoys strong community/business partnerships and has an active School Community Council, Parent Teacher Student Organization and Parent Community Networking Coordinator.
