About this school
Pahoa Elementary focuses on the following areas of improvement:
- Interventions for students not meeting proficiency levels academically and behaviorally by using research-based instructional strategies
- Using a data driven decision-making process focusing on student work and performance
- Refining an includison model to fit the needs of all students
The school partners with Kamehameha Schools Literacy Instruction and Support Division to provide instructional assistance in writing through the science content for students in K-3 classrooms.
Pahoa Elementary enjoys active parent involvement and continues to explore opportunities to engage parents. The School Community Council advises the school on its academic and financial plan as well as hosting parent and community meetings.
