About this school
Parker Elementary uses data to drive all instructional initiatives and school improvement efforts. Educators analyze and disaggregate school data to adjust teaching strategies and pacing maps.
The school has a one-to-one laptop program. Students who have completed their work or need more practice in certain subjects work on laptops at their own pace, as the software corrects and informs the child of his or her progress. Computers also allow teachers to differentiate assignments for the class.
Parker Elementary has utilized grant funds to provide research-based reading and mathematics programs, as well as an afterschool supplemental tutorial program in math and reading. A partnership with Kamehameha Schools’ Bishop Estate in the form of the Kamehameha Schools Literacy Instruction and Support provides services to K-3 students.
