Wailuku Elementary's goals are to assure all students graduate college and career ready, sustain a rich environment and culture for lifelong learners, and continuously improve the effectiveness, efficiency and responsiveness of the educational system.

The school provides a rigorous standards-based educa​​tion aligned with the Common Core State Standards. The School Community Council, which includes staff, parent and student representatives, supports improvement and student achievement. In addition, the Wailuku Parent Teacher Student Association supports parents, teachers and students with monthly activities.
