Mahalo! Final plan to be released Nov. 30
We value all of the community input into our DOE/BOE Strategic Plan Update and Extension. We had nearly 4,000 views and downloads of the draft Strategic Plan, and are grateful for everyone’s commitment to high-quality education.

We have reviewed the hundreds of comments provided by stakeholders during the public review period of the draft Strategic Plan, and are considering all input as we revise and finalize the plan that will guide us over the next three years. A summary of the online survey input is posted on our Strategic Plan page. We have also used this period to ensure alignment between the Strategic Plan and the draft Governor’s Blueprint for Education. This Blueprint provides a long-term vision for public education in Hawaii from preschool through the university system.

The revised Strategic Plan document will be posted on November 30 on the BOE website and the DOE Strategic Plan webpage. You are welcome to join the BOE meeting in person or listen live on December 6 at 1:30 as the Board of Education votes on the adoption of the Strategic Plan.

Again, mahalo for your commitment to and participation in public education as we all work together to ensure a bright future for our students and for Hawaiʻi. We look forward to collaborating with you to make our Strategic Plan goals a reality!
