This information is presented annually to the Board of Education to track progress to state-level targets and review what is and isn't working. STAFF SUCCESS INDICATOR

Teacher Retention. Percentage of new teachers retained after five years.

Rationale: Continuing employment of qualified and effective teachers results in benefits to students as teachers gain experience, and it reduces recruitment expenditures. The Induction & Mentoring Program is an example of cultivating supports for teachers in their beginning years to help them grow into the profession and to retain them long-term.
