Overview

Click the goals at right for performance metrics for each aligned with the 2017-2020 Strategic Plan. Below, find baseline data set by the 2018 administration of the School Quality Survey (SQS).

The survey is made up of four dimensions around Safety, Well-Being, Satisfaction, and Involvement/Engagement. Parents respond to each statement in these dimensions with their agreement or disagreement on a 5-point Likert scale. A parent’s overall favorability on the Involvement/Engagement dimension is determined if the mean response on 10 statements is greater than or equal to 3.5 points (out of a possible 5 points).

SUCCESSFUL SUPPORTS INDICATOR

Family Engagement. Percentage of parents reporting positive responses on the modified 2017-18 Involvement/Engagement dimension of the School Quality Survey.

Rationale: Objective 2b under Goal 3 makes partnerships with families and communities a priority in order to strengthen bonds with our schools. Objective 3e also seeks to improve communication, engagement and understanding with stakeholders, including families. A modification to the School Quality Survey to better track these endeavors was initiated with the 2018 administration.
