Hale Kula Elementary marks 'Hour of Code'
Students joined Supt. Kathryn Matayoshi and some 3 million children from 163 countries who participated in this global event designed to boost public awareness about computer science. STORY

Fifty-nine teachers in Hawaii achieved National Board Certification this year. Over the past three years, Hawaii has experienced the fastest growth in the number of National Board Certified Teachers in the nation and now has a total of 469. STORY

Achieve's 8th annual "Closing the Expectations Gap" report recognizes Hawaii in several categories that detail progress in elevating student achievement and success. "The report confirms that we have set a higher bar." STORY
