School Reports

Everyone has an interest in the education of Hawaii’s children — it creates citizens who can contribute to the cultural, environmental and economic well-being of the Islands, as well as dream beyond the limitations of today, advancing us all. The Department initiates a series of reviews and reports designed to measure school progress toward making students not only college and career ready, but also holistic, enthusiastic, lifelong learners.

Strive HI Performance System Report

The Department's school accountability and performance system tracks student achievement, growth, reduction in the achievement gap between high-needs students and their peers, chronic absenteeism and graduation rates. You can find the most recent report on each school's profile page. Due to privacy laws and regulations, reports for schools with very small student populations are suppressed.

School Status & Improvement Report

One of several major accountability reports produced annually by the DOE, the School Status & Improvement Report (SSIR) addresses standard-based education reporting requirements in §302A-1004, Hawaii Revised Statutes. The DOE prepares an individual SSIR for each school, each containing a description of the school and its setting, a summary of school improvement progress, available resources, and vital signs on school performance.

School Enrollment

Official student enrollment counts for all Hawaii public and charter schools.

Accreditation of Schools

The accreditation process validates and certifies the integrity of a school’s program and student transcripts. Some colleges and universities consider only applicants who have graduated from an accredited school.
