Kahuku Red Raiders win 2nd consecutive football crown

​​​​The Kahuku Red Raiders capped a perfect 12-0 season in 2012 with a 42-20 thrashing of Punahou in the 2012 Division I football championship game. It was the second time in as many years the Red Raiders beat Punahou in the title game.

​​​In the November 23 game, senior Aofaga Wily rushed for 188 yards and three touchdowns. Quarterback Lasi Livai threw for 111 yards and two touchdowns, while Kawe Johnson spearheaded its defensive effort with two interceptions.

​After a scoreless first quarter, Kahuku struck first with a 53-yard touchdown down the left sideline by Wily, which ignited the red-clad crowd. The Red Raiders would go on to score two more touchdowns to take a 21-0 halftime lead.
