Haiku Elementary is committed to integrating the arts, technology and wellness into the curriculum to allow students to grow and explore in a multicultural and ever-changing world. Parents and community members are involved in school life through volunteerism, the School Community Council and the Parent Teacher Association.

The school has enjoyed cultivating a school garden that has been a focus for some state and national organizations. Academically, the school has experienced a gradual increase in student achievement in English language arts and math.
